Vickie Verbos grew up in the Harrisburg area. She has a son named Marcus who lives with his wife Lindsay and their 9-year-old son Grayson. Vickie and her husband Robert met in the summer of 1974. Robert had just graduated high school, and Vickie was a sophomore in high school. They met through a family member of his who Vickie has remained friendly with after all of these years. Robert and Vickie dated for 5 years and finally got married in August of 1979. Their backgrounds were so different, and that is why Vickie believes that opposites attract. They were happily married for 29 years until the unexpected happened in November 2007.
Robert had retired from the US Navy that July, and they bought their forever home in New Bern, North Carolina. This is where Robert landed an engineering job with a government contractor. In November 2007, a tragic accident occurred. At the young age of 49, within 12 hours, life changed completely. Vickie had some huge decisions to make, and she came back to the Mechanicsburg area in February 2008.
SCHOOL AND CAREERS
Vickie graduated from East Pennsboro High Schoolin 1976, and she did not receive her Bachelor’s Degreein Business Management until May 2007, from ReddingUniversity. Vickie had various jobs (not careers) due to her husbandserving in the U.S. Navy for 29 years. Her employmentlasted 2 - 5 years depending on when they would have to transfer to a new place. Vickie has an educational background. She has played many roles, some of which include: Teacher’s Assistant, Personal Care Aide, and include: Teacher’s Assistant, Personal Care Aide, and Certified Substitute Teacher. She has worked with grade levels from kindergarten through twelfth grade. High school level was her favorite. Working with autistic and lifeskills students at this level was the most rewarding position she held throughout all the years and experiences she had. She left that school system for a full-time position in 2016 and was a substitute teacher for 2 years.
STRICTLY BUSINESS
In 2016, Vickie opened Legacy Protection Group, LLC, servicing clients in the Central Pennsylvania area until 2017. In October 2017, she began the rebranding process of her current company IMOR Financial, LLC. Vickie is the Managing Principal of the current company located in Mechanicsburg. Her financial firm is named IMOR Financial, LLC after her husband. It stands for “In Memory of Robert." Her husband took care of their family financially, and she is blessed and humbled to have financial freedom. For the last 4 years, she has grown her business and now she services all lines of insurance. In 2019, she started offering group benefits to small businesses of 3 employees or more. She has partnered with a company and has a business partner located in Ohio. In March of 2021, Vickie started offering property and casualty insurance including auto, homeowners, renters, and business insurance. She is extremely passionate about what she does and why she does it. Vickie’s career started at the age of 58, and she couldn’t be happier to be able to help clients have the financial freedom they dream of.
HOBBIES AND LEISURE TIME
Vickie has many hobbies. Her hobbies include traveling, exercising, golf and reading. She enjoys watching sports, and she likes to cheer on Villanova Men’s Basketball and New Orleans Saints Football. Vickie has volunteered with various community organizations throughout the years. Vickie has one cat named Popoki. He is a tuxedo and is 17 years old. Popoki loves to go out and just hang out on the patio.

She is a committee member for the Whitaker Center Women In STEM, a member of Central PA WIFS Chapter (Women in Insurance and Financial Services), member of The Insurance and Financial Marketing Group, and Professional Referral Exchange (PRE Harrisburg-Swatara).
FAMILY TIME
Family Time is important to Vickie. Her son, Marcus lives in Newtown Square. He is the Executive Vice President of AIMCOR Group, LLC. His wife Lindsay is an Account Executive for an Advertising & Design Company. Their son Grayson is involved with various sports which include: golf, baseball, soccer, and swimming. This summer Grayson was invited to play for the PGA Junior League Philadelphia Region, and he will be playing in tournaments this summer. Marcus stays very involved in the community by holding positions including: Board of Directors for the Radnor Soccer Club, Division Commissioner for Radnor Wayne Little League, and Co-chairs the Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee for Radnor School District.
LOCAL LIVING
Vickie currently lives in Walden. She has resided there for the past 13 years. She moved there in February 2008 when the development was very new. Walden is a planned community, and she loved the idea (especially after living in the Washington D.C. Metro Area where these types of communities are quite abundant.) There is a park with walking paths and 2 restaurants - Sophia’s Home Slice at Walden that are so great to have within walking distance. The families of Walden are all so friendly to talk with which she feels is important when living in a community of this nature.
FAMILY MEMORIES
Moving every few years while serving in the Navy is very memorable for Vickie. Having to uproot Marcus, usually in the summer months, for a move to a different state—sometimes even across the country- was challenging at times. But, they did it as a family, and they came out on top each time. Marcus grew up making friends easily and adjusting well with each move. Their family made the best of those situations which in turn as the years went on made them better people and closer as a family.
Change is inevitable, and if she had to do it all over again for those 29 years, she can honestly say she would. These were actually the best experiences of her life. Many times, it was hard to be subjected to change, and it was hard and leaving so many memories and friends behind, but it helped her family be diverse and adapt well to new situations.
VACATION TIME
Vickie’s family takes a vacation at least once a year together. It may be a few days to a week. The last family vacation they took was to Disney World over Thanksgiving of 2019. They visited all the Disney Parks and had a great time while making many new memories. They also try to get together to take a small vacation to Ocean City, New Jersey each summer. Vickie went there as a toddler and loves to make new memories there, because that is her happy place.
